Rod did an outstanding job supporting our real estate development project. He analyzed and leveled conceptual bids, identified scope gaps, and developed detailed questions to ensure an apples-to-apples comparison. He also refined and continuously updated our financial proforma to reflect the latest return projections while creating an exceptional, comprehensive investor pitch deck. Rod's unique combination of construction expertise, financial analysis, and investor presentation skills added tremendous value to our project. I highly recommend Rod!

Preconstruction support
Rod did an excellent job reviewing and leveling multiple GC bids for our multifamily renovation project. He was thorough, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying scope gaps, exclusions, and potential cost risks that could have led to change orders later in the process. His work product was well organized, delivered on time, and provided valuable insights that helped us make an informed contractor selection. We enjoyed working with Rod and have already continued using him on other projects. We would gladly recommend him to others and look forward to working together again.

CRE underwriting
My firm was so fortunate to find Rod and we will use him exclusively in the future. His knowledge and manner of explaining the specifics of each transaction were phenomenal and he clearly knows how to underwrite real estate assets. I would highly recommend him for anyone needing this kind of expertise.

Preconstruction support
I highly recommend Rod. He is knowledgeable, punctual, and a pleasure to work with. I am working on my first development project and hired Rod to help me make sense of the various GC bids I received. He created a spreadsheet to point out the differences, highlighted areas of concern, suggested followup questions, and helped walk me through the process. I would gladly hire him again, and I recommend that you hire him, as well.

Rod was the lead Project Manager for the architect during a construction project for my company. He was very organized, followed through promptly on tasks, and ensured both the architect and general contractor stayed on schedule and delivered everything as needed. I would definitely recommend Rod for your construction PM needs.

Questions
Common questions
What does an owner's representative do?
An owner's rep works for you, not the contractor. I help select the GC, check that proposals are complete, review pay applications and change orders, and keep the budget and schedule honest from preconstruction through closeout.
What size projects do you take on?
Most independent engagements fall between $1M and $5M: tenant improvements, occupied renovations, industrial and ground-up. Earlier in my career at Swinerton Builders I worked on preconstruction for projects up to $250M+.
How are fees structured?
After a short call I send a written scope with a fixed fee or a monthly retainer, depending on the engagement. You know the cost before work starts.
Do you work outside your home market?
Yes. I support projects across the United States, with site visits where the engagement calls for them and everything else handled remotely.
